ABOUT

Meet The Team

Arizona Motorcycle Adventure Tours was built by three lifelong riders who turned their passion for adventure riding into a business dedicated to helping others experience the same freedom. What started as a shared obsession with exploring Arizona's backcountry has grown into a company offering guided adventure motorcycle tours, ADV rider training, motorcycle camping classes, and on-road & off-road riding experiences throughout Arizona and the American Southwest.

Our mission is simple: help riders become more confident, more capable, and have more fun. Whether you're looking for professional adventure motorcycle training, a guided motorcycle tour through Arizona's most scenic landscapes, or your first multi-day ADV riding experience, we're here to help you ride farther, safer, and with a bigger smile on your face.

At the end of the day, we're still just three riders who got lucky enough to turn our passion into a profession;

and we can't wait to share the adventure with others.

Keith:  Co-Founder, Traveler, Arizona Historian

Keith Dishong is AZMAT's lead guide, route planner and founder of Crooked Raven ADV training in Buckeye Arizona.

Since 2007 I've been providing single and multi-day guided tours to some of the most beautiful and historic old west destinations. I'm passionate about the historical storytelling of our state and love to share the richness and color of the old west. As a Master off-road Instructor, as well as having a background as a search and rescue first responder, I'm confident handling situations that may come up on the trail.

Keith is certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) as a Dirtbike and Adventure Bike RiderCoach.

Current rides: 2024 Tenere 700, KTM 1290,  2017 PCX150, 2021 Honda Monkey

Matt:  Co-Founder, Guide/Trainer, Logistics &Coordinator

Matt Bayer, @themotorcycletraveler, is AZMAT's Chief of Operations and primary sweep. If you're interested in our tours or training, Matt will likely be your first point of contact.

I grew up in a small town in Kansas and moved to the southwest in the mid 90s. After retiring from federal law enforcement in 2022, I've been able to focus solely on touring the country on two wheels. I instruct most of our rider classes throughout the year and I enjoy working as a professional demo rider for one of the larger motorcycle manufacturers... ryhmes with Panama.

Matt has been a certified MSF Ridercoach for years and has taught hundreds of classes.

Currentl rides: 2019 BMW R1250GS, 2024 Yamaha Tenere 700, 2014 Honda Forza, 2020 Honda Monkey

Scott:  Co-Founder, Motocamper, Media Relations & Videographer

Scott Arkon is AZMAT's Chief Marketing Officer, and the only member with a day job. Scott owns White Hat Marketing, a full service marketing agency based in Tucson. He spends his days running marketing strategies for several successful home service businesses. Oh, and a lot of day-dreaming of leaving the office and riding!

I've been riding for over 30 years but was exposed to ADV riding in 2020 and completely fell in love with it. Motocamping and multi-day tours are my jam (as often as I can get away)! I seem to have a gift for finding the worst line on a trail... probably don't follow me blindly. Nickname on the trails: Mr. Plow.

Scott is certified by the MSF as a Basic and Basic 2 RiderCoach.

Currently Rides: 2025 Tenere 700,  2025 R1300GS,  2018 GoldWing
